Yes I hate it, there is always something I would rather be doing.
Luckily hubby does the ironing, but the kids should do more.

Yes I hate house work but then I love seeing it all done and clean and tidy and enjoy having it nice if folk drop by unexpectedly. And I couldn't get a cleaner as I never feel it's done the same unless I do it myself, so I have shot myself in the foot with that one so I just have to get on without moaning!!Sigh.

I don't think many people actually enjoy doing housework but it is something most of us have to do. I try to maintain a good standard of hygiene with things that come into direct contact with the body, such as food, cutlery, tableware, cleaning cloths and the clothes I wear but adopt a more relaxed attitude about things. I've learned to distinguish between "dirty dirt" and "clean dirt". You must deal with "dirty dirt" as soon as you can otherwise you're going to get moulds on your utensils, plates, bathrooms... "Clean dirt" refers to dust and untidiness. It is not nice to leave things around but at least they won't make you sick. You could take it easy and shouldn't feel guilty if your rooms are slightly disorganized. I often think that to achieve a 100% tidy room is just not realistic. Don't imagine that other people's bedrooms are just like what you see in a furniture catalogue.

I quite enjoy it. Right now we are in the middle of decorating so it's really messy & dusty at the moment but I grin and bear it and think to myself that it will look lovely when all is done. Then I can get to being a bit more organised into doing the washing, ironing, hoovering and dusting.
Putting good tunes on helps a lot.

It is a chore, but not too bad if there is some sharing (with spouse or kids) eg. I like gardening but hate ironing.
In the UK, it is now quite easy to get some cheap home help from the eastern european migrants from slovakia, poland etc.
