Aberdeen is a nice place but Glasgow is the best.

Inverness and Perth have VERY good quality of life.

Dundee and Stirling OK too

Places to avoid- Dumbarton, Gorbals, Aberdeen. Carluke is the armpit of Scotland, best avoided too.

A general rule I was told is to to draw a line from Dumbarton to Aberdeen and anything NORTH of that line will generally be OK.

Depends on what you prefer, do you like city life then Edinburgh or Glasgow or a quiet town village then there are hundreds of nice places all around the country

do you want to stay with the help of the coast/on an island or inland? Are close by centers significant or do you want isolation? Are you an outdoors human being? i might want to assert the west coast is gorgeous, close to Oban or castle William and they don't look too some distance from Glasgow. you'll want to get used to the rain and midges in spite of the reality that ;)

The Borders, you have beauty and splendour in the scenery, peace and tranquility but you still have nice little towns with shops and essentials !!

Depends if you prefer Town or countryside, I'm from Aberdeen, it has plenty to offer, jobs friendly people, surounded by lovely countryside and not far from the Highlands.

anywhere north of glasgow towards Loch Lomond. Outwith the city but close to it. Countryside, mountains, pubs, and good schools

morayshire is beautiful, there is a place called findhorn, it has a great beach and its usually quiet even in summer
