Hmmm that's a tough one.

Perhaps you accidentally deleted it. First thing to do is check your "Recycle Bin" to see if its there. If so, you can recover it.

Next, find out if you have misplaced it. Open "My Computer" and click on the Search button in the toolbar. Select "Local Hard Drives" in the "Look In" combo box and type in the name of the file in the "All or part of the file name" box. Click on the Search button and see if it shows up.

If that doesn't work, you need to see if there's a .tmp or .bak file somewhere which has your work in it. If you remember anything distinctive from the document, try putting it in the "A word or phrase in the file" box and see what shows up.

Finally, if the file has been deleted from your hard drive, you may still be able to recover it using a utility for recovering deleted files.

Good luck. It's probably still someone on your hard drive.
