Which state is the only state in the U.S. that has never had a foreign flag flying over it? First correct gets 10!

It has to be one of the midwest states. A state that was never claimed by any country other than America, and was so claimed after the country of USA was established. This excludes all the earliest states, as they would have had British flags fly over them. It also excludes anything west of the Mississippi, as those all were "owned" by either France, Britain or Spain. Texas was even it's own country for awhile (and some of us wish it still were - lol!)

My best guess would be Tennessee or Kentucky.

Well either it has to be multiple states, or none at all. Technically many states west of Kansas were territories never previously ruled under a British, Confederate,Mexican or US flag until they became states, but were however covered under Indian tribal flags, but only limited areas. Hawaii was once and for very many years the Kingdom of Hawaii a seperate and internationally recognized entity. Alaska was a possession of Russia so spent a large time under it's flag. As you know the southern states also were ruled under not only Mexico's flag but also the CSA and Texas it's own. Like my first statement I believe it would be multiple states or none at all.
