If it is for your girlfriend - get a wonderbra with the front clasp. As a women, I love Wonderbra because it made me feel sexy and it's functional (it push up and out and together!). If you like cleavage, this bra is the best!
After you get the bra, learn to work the clasp; because the fun is only in taking it out, which is why you are buying her lingerie anyway! Like I said, Wonderbra makes you feel sexy and you know what that would lead to...
And please ignore those who said no bra because they haven't seen a girl with lingerie on. Apparently, they like saggy, baggy breasts...

I usually wear Victoria's Secret bras because they're well made and last a long time. I'm not sure if they're the best, but they work for me.
And don't listen to the comments about going braless being the best. That's the worst thing to do. Just watch one of those documentaries about the tribal women and you'll see what I mean.
