it all dpends on ur body build and the pressure u put cuz alot of gas has to pass through the small hole

Not really sure but my theory as to why farts make noise at all is that the actual fart doesnt make any noise its the vibration of the butt cheeks that make the noise, so the bigger your cheeks are or the harder they are pressed together then the louder the fart will be.....dont know if this is correct but it sounds good to me
