There is a solution, but it begins with not dehumanising the enemy and treating them as two-dimensional parodies called "terrorists." Terrorism is a method; it is non-conventional warfare. It is not an ideology. There are reasons why a war is being fought; it has causes. By addressing the causes of the conflict, the conflict can be lessened. The causes have to do with inequality on the planet.
The solution involves a re-evaluation of the west's use of global resources, the rethinking of the global economy so it is more inclusive and it also involves negotiating with one's rivals (this means open discussions with North Korea, Iran, the Taliban, Hezbollah, Hamas . . .).

I don't feel terrorism can be ever eliminated because it can be carried out by such a small scale group. How would they know if I just decided I want to commit an act of terror. Especially for groups who don't care if they die in the process. The large scale operations that take some serious planning are more at risk for discovery. Overall, if planned though, I think it would be easy to pull of a bombing. Though I don't know much about making bombs. I understand the information isnt that hard to find.

there are two solutions for terrorism - a very deep change in the culture of countries where terrorists come from or an eradication of the whole population of said countries.
The first solution requires an enormous amount of patience, willingness to sacrifice and there is no guaranty it will succeed.
The second solution calls for a Genocide, mass killing of a significant part of earth population.
So there is no solution for terrorism.

Uh ... when you ask the question that way, you show that you don't have any understanding of the issues. "Terrorism" is a biased word that targets one side of a dispute ... the side that has smaller, less powerful weapons.

I guess you could solve the "problem" by giving the weaker side some more powerful weapons, so that they could bomb the heck out of their enemies.

However, you need to move away from the issue of the weapons, and try to understand the underlying grievances ... which often stem from centuries of evil by Europeans and Americans, including imperialism, colonialism, slavery, capitalism, oppression of minorities and women, and persecution of non-Christians.

I think the Republican's "Kill them all" policy will do. They are the mercyless Patriot who get things done. Dem are spinless and loser. All they do is talk and negotiate and being polite to the opposite side. Remeber Bush said "GOD is on our side". And, the Bush family and Cheney needs to take care of the Oil buddies, dude!

Because liberalism and political correctness prevent us from using our best weapons and sending the right message in the only language they understand. That would be the solution.
