No way. Maria is better by far. Two time grand slam winner and made it to 5 semis. Sania never got past the 4th round in any slam. so she is no where near marias level. not yet anyway. I like sania's game though and she has the potential to be in the top ten but she would have to work for it.

Sania better than Maria? no friggin way, sania is not even close to maria. To be sania's fan or fanatic thts something different but to compare her wth the number 1 of the world, i guess sania is not even close to maria. Sania will have to be more precise and concentrate more if she wants to enter the top 10 tennis players, but looking at her games and tactics, i m confident tht sania will not make it to the top 10, i really do like her but i must say tht she is not as good as india makes her sound to be the best.

The scales are so steeply tipped. Maria is way too much for Sania. Its time Sania got her act together and played a serious game.

I am and Indian so that doesn't mean i will be with sania she plays rash backhands now a days so maria is better than Sania MIRZA

No. The ranking alone tells you that Maria Sharapova is is better than Sania Mirza. I'm not even a Sharapova fan.

Please its like you are comparing a snail and an cheetah in terms of speed and saying snail is much faster than cheetah. All sania is just a byproduct of media publicity. She is not even for good rankings nor does she win. But her words speak like that she will defeat serena and venus williams on a two on one match.

certainly not. sania's ranking has plummeted to 70, on the other hand maria has won the US open. no comparison really.
