Both systems offer different things, and it really depends on your taste. While graphically the PSP is better, and can watch movies, play MP3, etc... the games are often re-makes of popular PS2 games, and they are far from unique.

The Nintendo DS has a lot going for it too. Mainly the touch screen, the dual screen game play, and a load of VERY UNIQUE games, simply not found on the PSP.

I have both of the systems, and can honestly say that I use and like both of them, depending on what I am in the mood for doing. If you are a heavy gamer, and like unique, fun to play games, then I would without a question go for the NDS.

By the way, you can ALSO watch movies, listen to MP3 music, and even read eBooks and look at photos on your NDS, with just a little $23.00 add on called the NDS Movie Player.. Look in the source box for the item that I bought to let me do this.

i say tht u must buy a PSP because it has a lot of other qualities and advantages which ds lite dont have.In psp we can play games with more graphics but in ds it has only games with less graphics. In psp we can see movies, hear songs, browse the net ,transfer photos from pc using a sony usb for psp.psp has memorysticks which is used to store songs, photos, etc.Advantage of ds is that it is less costlier it starts from 125$ in the us and psp is costlier and it starts from 180$ to 300$ or something.so its your choice!
Bye!

Depends on what you're looking for. PSP is good for the versatility it provides where you'll be able to watch movies, listen to music, homebrew, it's pretty much good for a lot of stuff for the people who are tech savvy. The DS on the other hand is better for quirky games, and just pretty much straight gamin on the go.
BTW I personally love my PSP to death, but I really use it to it's full potential.

In my opinion, you should buy a PSP... The PSP has many useful features... You can listen to music, watch movies, play games, store&view photos and, if you have version 2.0 or newer, you can browse the internet (you need a wireless network and, of course, internet connection)... so... what's it gonna be?

I'd prefer the PSP. As it can play movies and music on the go.
