Buffon, simply because he is the best goalkeeper in the world who ever played a World Cup.

Gianluigi Buffon, he saved the most goals in the World Cup especially during the final against the French. He's the best!! he very vigilant to every movement on the ground, he watch attentively all the players. He's really a good goalkeeper. Infact, he's the best!!!

Polish GK Boruc, that guy saved more than anyone did (more than Buffon) in the three games which they lost two of them. Without him, Germany would score 10 against Poland.
Single game saves? I will go for T&T's Shaka Hislop.
Well, many people mentioned Buffon, but don't forget... Buffon has the Italian Defense to back him up. Just like Barthez had the Defense to back him up in 1998 (even though it doesn't take away credits from both of them).

Ricardo( Angola) and Kawaguchi, 21 saves in 3 games( average save per game 7) and Kahn 7 saves in 1 game!!!!!!
