Are you a teen? Are you gay?
If yes and yes then by all means go and and at least check it out. Actually if I were you I'd shop around and check a few groups out. Compare them to each other. You've got nothing to lose and everything to gain. I think it is better to have an outlet for meeting others gays besides gay bars. Bars can be so shallow. Being in a youth group or a charity will allow you to interact with other gays in a more healthy, holistic setting.
Pick the group or the group(s) you like best.

You should go.... BECAUSE:
1. you'll meet people your age
2. great way to meet friends and talk about how they are dealing about sexuality.
3. meeting new friends
4. think about it as a support group, great therapy
5. If you're lucky... you'll meet someone that you'll love and cherish.
HAVE FUN!!!! You're too young to be nervous about attending this group meeting. I think it's GLBT teen group is a good support group.

Don't be nervous. These are people, you're a person. I remember when i found my first lgbtia+ group. It felt like coming home every time we would meet, home in a good way. Home in a way that was sheltered from all the **** going on outside of it... I hope your experience can be as positive. ^_~

I think you should go. It might be a good experience for you. Don't worry about being nervous it will settle once you meet the group and I am sure they will make you feel very comfortable.

I would imagine that everyone else who is in this group probably feels the same way, or did at one time. If there were a group like that near me, I would so. I think you should- you'll probably be very happy you did.

When my son was in high school he enjoyed the friendships he made in his school's Gay/Straight Alliance Club it helped him to find himself. What is the worst that could happen? You find it's not for you but maybe you will meet some new friends.

I would say go, but personally I'd probably chicken out, lol. If your "out", i'd say go for it, if not i'd think about it, someone may open their mouth and people who you weren't ready to have found out might just find out, whatever you decide to do good luck! If you don't, don't feel bad, you can always stick with people online until your ready
