Wish I knew. I'd like to see one- too. -Hopefully, in my lifetime (by the way, I'm 53 & white). Maybe Barak Obama will take a shot at it- someday. He's captivating to listen to, - and he's got a good head on his shoulders. But there are other blacks I'd vote for... Only time will tell.

I don't think it going to happen anytime soon, but I am afraid by the time a black man or woman gets into office there will be allot to answer for in this country such as outrages budget deficits, global hostility concerns as well as environmental including an exploding Hispanic population, so what I am trying to say is there may not be an America left to be a President for by the time this happens.

Colin Powell won't run. The only other viable candidate I can think of is Barak Obama. When he runs, he will have a good chance.
People like Jesse Jackson just don't have the experience and charisma to get elected. We are way behind the times.

I don't think USA will ever have a black President, at least not in the next 75 years. The reasons for this are many. It is the racial prejudice that has existed for 200 years since slavery.White Amercia cannot see a Black man as President.

As soon as the American people votes one into office. First their has to be one that runs. I think Condee Rice or Obama have the best chances at this point

Powell turned down an opportunity for V.P. which would have set him up for it. Rice looks like she might get in within the next decade. That is my bet.
