Yes I do. Anyone talking on a cell phone (as well as doing anything else other than driving the car) is a hazzard to the rest of us because they are NOT paying attention to what they are supposed to be doing. Some states have for this very reason passed laws to prohibit using a cell phone use while driving. Even though there are laws already passed in most states that prohibit "distracted driving" that our law enforcement officers steadfastly refuse to enforce.

There is simply NOONE who is so important to be talking to that they should endanger the lives of others. The only people of that importance have a driver for this and other obvious reasons. The common person (including myself) does not fall into this catagorie.

No, cell phones do not cause accidents. Drivers who do not pay attention to their driving cause accidents, but talking on a cell phone is not in and of itself the problem. It is easy to blame the phone, but there are many things that can distract a driver.

Talking to passengers (especially children), eating, drinking, adjusting the stereo, trying to find directions, and numerous other things can also distract a driver. There is no reason to blame the cell phone use.

I use my cell while driving all the time. I spend several hours a day on the road, and find that the cell phone is a valuable tool. Cell phones are a convenient target for those who believe that we need to "protect" people from themselves, and must make the world safe for the least skilled among us. Some people may not be able to drive safely while talking on the phone, but some can!! If you are going to ban cell phone use, you should also ban all other distractions, including talking to passengers, and food and drink in the vehicle.

They cause lots of accidents, and yes, I talk on mine while driving. The worst thing on the road, though, is the slow driver in the left lane--SLOWER TRAFFIC KEEP RIGHT!!!
