During the attack I was at school. I'm not sure, but i think everybody went home. I was too young to remember. I saw the tape of it once I was old enough to understand. And now I'm crying. I don't want anyhting to happen today. And when i think about the people that died, I was just sad. I heard a story about a guy buried in ashes on a high foor. When someone was trying to find their way out they found him. and they walked down. they survived. they said it was reli dark. today i was getting home from a movie and i asked my mom about 9/11. she's a nurse and she said that people were unconscience during the attack, and she remembers them waking up after all that happened. I felt lucky. On that tape i saw a couple years after 9/11 i just remember a person looking on at the towers. i dont remember what she looked like. i just remember her in a way. it was really sad. =[[ my mom said she thought it wasnt big bc small planes always use to crash into the towers.

Even if there's a terror threat, I don't think it would have the impact that it had that day. Another attack on that scale isn't going to happen specifically today just because it's an anniversary. It's actually less likely, because so many people expect it. No one expected the first one.
Your mom's right. The country stopped that day. I was getting ready for work in Colorado when the first two hit, I heard about it on the radio, so it didn't seem so real. I was on the highway when the plane crashed into the Pentagon. When I got to work, the television was on in the conferenece room and all you could see were people standing around in awe and fear. Nothing made it more real than that. Most inside didn't know what happened, friends and relatives called them and told them to get out because they were watching the building burn on tv. You could see people falling/jumping off the higher floors. When the buildings finally collapsed, even though we were in a daze, our hearts sank with them.
My husband had been in the Army already for 18 months. My mom sent me an email and told me if anything happened, if my husband got sent anywhere, or even if I just had the chance, to go to my grandmother's in Kansas--we were in the middle of 3 military installations, NORAD, and only an hour from Denver. It's one of those things that if you're old enough to remember, you never will forget, and those images, whether seen from the news or from Ground Zero itself, are burned into our minds forever. Seeing the video years later can be heart wrenching, I would imagine, but to watch it on live tv and KNOW that it was happening NOW, was a feeling I can't describe.

I don't think anything will happen. Unless of course the dems have thier way. No matter what, we get attacked again, just think about how ticked off we will be and just what we ARE capable of. Like Tokyo said when they attacked Perl Harbor, "we have woken the sleeping giant". I think President Bush is the most important in history, no matter what you may think of studderin' and stammerin'. He is now and I can't imagin one former president that is still alive, capable of President Bush's fortitude. How many attacks would we stand before the peacenicks ask us to defend them. The Isamist Finatics are so intense and all they want to do is see you and I be converted, or killed period.

im guessing ur scared because the image of what happened is still in your mind. I can't say something will or will not happen since im not a psychic teller, but hopefully that today we will live in peace like any other days and national security would be able to prevent any terrorist attacks. Let's hope for the good things and be optimistic.

Baby, we are all scared, but if we turn that fear into something positiive, like hope, then we will be stronger. Let Freedom ring and let it ring loudly.
