I guess they feel that it is more personal and they may feel like they have "friends". Kinda like getting good advise from someone. That or they just want to know how people react.. Your guess is as good as mine. Why did you ask?

they want to hear what we have got to say but we only can go to search engines when we dont know how to answer but want to answer. however this does not apply to questions that are personal like relationship problems etc.
