In the past, it seemed like Nas, Mobb Deep, Jay Z's Reasonble Doubt album, Biggie's first Album, 2 Pac, Old Eminem, etc, (who were some of my favorites,) was great stuff. Even in the late 80's, Dre's Chronic, Ice Cube's Predator, etc, was hot stuff.

Today we have 5o Cent, which I think is pretty decent, and a bunch of others I'm not too familiar with.

Whats better to you? 90's? Or Today's rap?

♥c0c0puffz♥ - I partly agree, I like old rap, but sometimes the killing talk gets tired. But I also agree with condie about rap today.

condie - yeah, hearing about hopw much money ones got, or how many cars, gold chains, chicks, etc, gets tired too.

Anything with quality in rap I like.

I definately think the 90's and a bit of the 80s was the best.. it had more depth and meaning to the lyrics, now - well its mostly my car this, my dubs that, ice this, my clothes bla bla..

give us a break man..

If we are speaking radio, 90s had today beat in all words, except for the Kriss Krosses and P Diddeys or maybe if. If we are speaking all Hip-Hop, even as that's confusing to authentic the 90s, a minimum of lyrically, Hip-Hop hasn't quite declined interior the underground

if your like me than the 90's. i started to listen to rap in 1994 when i was 7; snoop dogg, 2PAC, Easy e etc. i liked it back then because of the west coast, but now the west does not got it no more so i moved on to metal. i still listen to some rap today. but mostly from 90's and early 2000's

Check out Old School: Fat Boys, Sugarhill Gang, Run DMC, Curtis Blow, and even Beastie Boys were a lot more fun back in early 80's/late 70's.

Definately 90's. The schitt out nowadays is too slow or the same beat from 8 other songs.

Rap now. Rap in the 90s was gangster. I don't want to hear about killing 24/7 and slanging dope.
