Now is the time for her to see a doctor. He/she can decide if your daughter needs hormones to help or if it is something that needs attention. Be sure to explain fully to your daughter what the process is and assure her not to be afraid.

I got my period for the first time right after I turned 13(during a choir competition of all places) and then didnt again until almost my 14th b-day if that helps you any

Not terribly unusual. Young girls often will go several months between the first period and the second. Almost a year isn't quite so common but it's not unheard of either.

It can be if stress has been an issue or its in her genes. You might need to put her on the pill for regularity, but also if its been this long...almost a year...that 1st period might not have been one at all. It could've been internal bleeding or something.

Was it the first and ONLY time she had her period?

And yes it is normal.
Expeically at that age.

yes, it is normal. the teenages is still not comform yet. they are still young and it is first time, everything may still change. donot worry about it, for example, I support to have glasses when I was 8, but my doctor told me I do nto need it anymore like 6 months later. So, everything still growing and change . GOOD LUCK FOR HER !!
