I've had laser eye surgery and now have better than 20/20 vision too. However, it's important to make sure you get it done by an experienced professional. There are outfits that'll try to do it for lower prices, and if you judge by the complaints, you may just get what you pay for.
Your eyesight is too valuable to risk it in the hands of some incompetent quack. If you get it done, get it done by someone who will do it right. It may cost you more, but there's virtually no risk of a botched operation that way, as the procedure is really fairly simple and safe these days.

i got laser eye surgery and now i have better than 20/20 vision. I definitely recommend it! As long as you go to a qualified and recommended doctor. My mom, brother, and father have also received laser eye surgery and all have perfect vision now. It is great. Its like being born again...well not really. But it is amazing to go from seeing the world kinda blurry and then all of a sudden seeing it crystal clear. I even have a lifetime warranty! lol
Also, I have no problem seeing things up close and do not need reading glasses, like another person mentioned they did. But my mom does. It seems to be a side affect for older people.
One side effect i did have for a couple months was halos. Halos appear around lights, especially at night. So it was kinda annoying to drive at night, but that has pretty much cleared up.
I would get laser eye surgery in a heart beat if i needed it.
Its not 100% safe, you can lose vision totally or partially in your eye. you can get infections. just do your research
There are definitely side effects! and risks! But the doctor should explain this to you and give you a pamphlet about it.

I think your spelling is n't so fine, but I got it.You mean you have an error of refraction & you wanna make a refractive surgury.Well Laser must be the last solution for those who can't tolerate contact lenses & are not satisfied with glasses or who have parkinsonism & find difficulty with such opticals,Well, laser can improve your eyesight excellently, but it may on the contrary lead to complete loss of visin & to know not all who have errors can undergo refractive surgery. It must be stable error which is feasable only after 22 years & you must have corneal topography to make sure the corneal thicness is suitable for the operation & you must be highly cooperative & other more sophisticated investigation. But it has alot of disadvantages as it may lead to opacification of cornea, lens,or vitreous.Foveal damage in non cooperative. In addition to un predicted amount of correction which means you may not be able to do without glasses.I hope I could help.

I cannot say personally if it's better or not coz I'm thinking of having it also. One friend had her eye laser (one eye) and she's fine but she never tried having the other eye done. There might be side effects in the long run. I still go for contacts or specks.

I had it done.. it does clear up the problem of seeing things in the distance, but you can no longer read small print..which I could always do.. threading a needle forget about it.. you will probably need to wear reading glasses for some stuff..but otherwise it's great.

ive done the laser eye surgery myself .. its been three years now and i feel fine and i can see very well . I havent had any problems so far and i hope i will not . i feel great and im glad ive gotten rid of my annoying glasses. i think if your sight level is really high (mine was -5.25) then you should definitely go for it! Good luck!

Yeah, it works, and if you get a really good doctor, it will work out really well. My uncle is an eye surgeon and my aunt got it done when it first came out. She couldn't be happier with the results.

the vast majority of people who get the procedure are satisfied with it. my mother however had her sight made worse by it (her eyes where bad) but she couldn't do anything about it because you have to sign a waiver. so there is a small risk

i actually dont recommend that.. sure it has a side effect on the long run.. one of them causing cancers and damages the iris...
it doesnt really matter, go for the glass or the lences ... they're surely better...
