I enjoyed it, but having John Hurt play the dictator just reminded how 1984 is much better film about much the same topic. I couldn't help but notice that V distributed the masks, but did people have to make their own black robes? That being said, it was a pretty good look at ethical choices, or lack thereof in a totalitarian society. Natalie Portman is very fetching, even with no hair.

I liked it because it used art to create a journey that was very real and yet it was about the inside psyche of people (Like when the girl was in prison....and it turned out to be all staged! wow!!)
It was bout vengeance to a point, but also about karma and responsibility for actions in the world. I did notice that V displayed compassion when he drugged the woman scientist so she would have a peaceful death, and she said she was sorry and said it was too late when she realized the scope of what she was doing.

It's basically a movie about not giving in to the system, especially if its corrupted and doesn't address the needs of the people.

Bottomline: Rebellion....rage against the machine.

I thought it was a very good movie. It was different. But that made it good. It was nice to see someone sticking up for something meaningful and worth it rather then fighting over some crack money! I

I thought it was pretty good, but it could have been better. I hear the graphic novels are far superior.
