Yes if I said something you disagree with, and I knock the piss out of you I win, and I am therefore right. Faulty logic but a literal definition.

The one with the power makes the rules. An example: When Rome was the superpower of the world then whatever they dictated to militarily inferior countries was the thing that the inferior countries had to do. Usually the saying is might makes right, btw. I don't believe in this outlook but it is currently in vogue with the neocons and republicans.

Whoever is in power has the might to determine or SAY what is right. That's pretty much how history is written; the victors determine how history is written for the next generations to read.

Might can be physical economical or technological. Even today nations are classified as powerful along these lines only. See who are the members of UN security council?

In the end of the battle or fight, he who was more powerful (mighty) has his way. thus Might MAKES right, regardless of the objective truth.

usualy it is said in the context that "might does not equal right" meaning that just because you are the strongest does not mean that you can make or break the rules

I think it means that the stronger you are (physically) the more you can 'push' your opinion and that you are always right. Because if someone disagrees with you, you can always beat them up.
