NLS (New Life Spectrum) is my staple food (and the peacock and vic in the tank do well on it too).

Once in a while I add algae wafers or zucchini for the pleco and they much on those too.

Avoid feeding only dry foods, or high protein foods such as bloodworms, tubiflex and beefheart. Excess of these foods can cause a condition known as "Malawa Bloat" which is a fatal condition if they obtain this disease.

New Life Spectrum, low-protein (35%) veggie flakes, and high- spirulina content flake (95%+ spirulina).
