I was able to do it 14 years ago by working two jobs at $4.25/hour, but I didn't have and children. With Inflation and a child or two I doubt I could do it today. To put into perspective the minimum wage adjusted for inflation from 1979 it should have been $6.00/hour in 1993. Today it should be near $9.00 per hour. The congress which controls the minimum wage has increased its salary from $133,000 in the early 90's to nearly $165,000 today. An increase greater than someone working for minimum would make in a year. I know this is getting off the point but it shows who isan't looking out for you.
