If so shouldn't all UK teams be allowed in?
Should the UK combine all the international teams as one?

The precedent has already been set about clubs playing in other countries i.e Berwick Rangers are an English team playing in Scotland. Wrexham, Swansea and Cardiff all play in England. So there is nothing in the rules preventing them from doing so. As for being allowed automatic entry into the Premiership, absolutely no way, and that's coming from a Rangers fan and shareholder. Why should Rangers and Celtic be allowed automatic entry, every other club in had to earn the right to be there. It would also prevent teams in the championship who have earned promotion that chance unless they expanded it to 22 teams which they won't do. There is no way a team in the championship would let Rangers or Celtic in in their place forfeiting something in the region of £40 million in the process.

As for combining all the internation teams as one, forget it. Let's be honest it would just be the same England team under a different name. I'm Scottish and realise that none of the present players would make it into the team. England have taken a lot from the Scots over the years, but I'm quite sure you don't want our national side too.

Um.... no. Mainly because Rangers and Celtic are the most passionate Scottish football clubs. If they are gone from scottish leagues the leagus won't be as exciting. Another point is that it is the ENGLISH premier league and if they came then other scots teams would have to have a chance of getting into an ammalgamated UK league which I think would be a good idea for a cup cometion like the champions league but just uk teams.

and to the third question the uk should only enter an international uk team into the olympics especially the games in 2012 as they are the uks games

There is no reason why they shouldn't providing they meet the same requirements as any other team wanting to play in the English League - ie they should go through the complete process through the Unibond (or whatever its called these days), through the league structure (Div2,1 & Championship) and then the Premier League (assuming that they qualify at all levels

after all there are several Welsh sides playing in the English Leagues (Swansea, Cardiff & Wrexham). There should be no special cases for other teams just because they come from Scotland, or claim to have a large following.

However I cant see it happening, if for no other reason it would undermine the Scots leagues, and the Scottsh FA and possibly lead to the demise of the SFA (the grandees of the SFA would loose their current roles, the other Scots clubs would loose any chance at the Euro gravy train)

Its not for nothing that the Welsh, Scots & Northern Ireland FA's have already decided no to let their players compete as part of the UK team in the 2012 Olympics.

I doubt the English teams would be that keen on letting other teams in if it affected their chances of qulaifying for Europe.

Effectively it will impact on the "nearly" top clubs (ie Liverpool, Everton, Middlesborough, Arsenal etc + all the fantasists below them in the league)

Although a big Celtic fan, both they and Rangers should stay in Scotland. If the Premiership is in that need of quality teams maybe it should call itself MLS UK.

Obviously not, Ranger and Celtic are SCOTTISH teams based in SCOTLAND, why would they play in the ENGLISH premiership? That would just be sheer lunacy.

well if swansea and cardiff are allowed to play in the english leagues, then why not? besides, the scottish premier league is getting more and more predictable each season. rangers and celtic would prove to be some force alongside man utd, chelsea, arsenal and liverpool to name
