runs ,but lacks power tried dring it out 3 weeks it sat ;honda 89 everything new.

Remove the distributor cap and spray it down with WD 40 (Water Displacer 40) tap out the water, put it back together and roll. Might as well clean rotor while you're there.

Check if your air filter has been wet. If it has, remove all spark plugs and crank the engine a couple of revolutions to get the water out unless you already bent the rods, that oughta do ya.

Check the distributer if there is moisture there, change the distributer if moisture is present. Check the oil for water, pull the dipstick out if there is a frothy white color you have water in the oil.

ok if you got a dist.cap,take it off and spray some wd-40 in it,it will displace the moister and also check out the plugs.

check 4 a cracked dist cap if it went though water well hot its cracked
