I think its selfish. Once you're dead who cares what happens after that. Why cheat all the others of a full life? Think of how many lives that would effect. She can't be serious. And, besides, even if she died, and of course you would mourn her, but that doesn't last forever. You would be happy again. If thats her only reason, then its not a good one. Life does and must go on....

That is not selfish, in fact, that is about as selfless as you can get. Your mother wasn't thinking about the fact that you and your family were going to lose their lives, but just the fact that she wouldn't want you to mourn (feel grief) over the fact taht she died. That's preventing you from feeling depressed and sad about her death. Your mother loves you so much that even when she is gone she would not want you to suffer. You are a lucky person, your mom loves you that much!

i do think that it is not only selfish but also that it is impossible to make it so that no one mourns because of your death because your life affects many people who you may not see. Also, if you have your sons and daughters die at the same time there will be others who are affected by their passing. also since everyone is connected to everyone else in the world by way of seven people, essentially you would have to kill everyone in the world at the same time for there to be no mourning.
i don't recommed it. ^_^

Yes. Selfish & controlling. Wants to take everyone with her...
or no, selfless, doesn't want anyone to suffer the loss of her. But life would go on, hard as it may be. Terrible to take the whole family with her!

Yes. Even though mourning is sad, nobody has the right to rob people of the full spectrum of feelings we experience in this life.

Not selfish...she was being a child...I didn't ever want to mourn my parents and I'm sure they wouldn't have wanted to mourn me...

Death is a normal occurrence. She would be better off preparing her family for her death. Talk about it. Share her beliefs about it, etc.
It will be bad for her (and everyone else) if she is fearful at the time of her death. It is best to come to peace with death way before death arises (something we cannot predict).
