I thought its only here in India that women are glued to their TV sets, addicted to dramas after dramas (mega serials). Then I found out that women in most other countries - Japan, Korea, Hongkong, Singapore, UK, the Middle East and even Latin America etc etc - are also additcted to soap operas. Of course men too watch these serials. But why women get more involved (sometimes even emotionally....!!)?

Because they actually portray female characters, for one. It's completely human interest, for two. And it's centered around romance, for three.

lmao, women are just made that way I would suppose. We come with a natural capacity for such things, and therefore we become lost in the drama and angst of such creations(although i'd much rather be watching an anime). Men on the other hand become confused and often times annoyed by the happenings of the shows.
