red is a warm color so you need colors with yellow.
Basicaly any thing with brown, orange or tan tints. Golds not silvers. You have to be present to do a color analisys but Avon representatives used to do this for you. I havn't seen my color wheel for years so I can't help you with that but, I do remember that pinks or blues don't go!

I'm a converted redhead (natural brunette but have redhead coloring) and have found that neutrals tend to be the best. May not look exciting in your makeup bag, but will look good on you and not compete with your hair.
Some of my favorite eye stuff: Revlon Illuminance Cream Shadows in Not Just Nudes; MAC eyeshadow in Tempting & Shroom; MAC Powerpoint pencil in Bountiful Brown & Clinique eyeshadow in Bewitched.
NARS Orgasm is a great blush for anyone, I also like Tarte gel cheek stain in Blushing Bride.
For lips, my favorites are Vincent Longo Lip & Cheek Gel Stain in Cupid's Breath; Chanel Rouge Allure in Brilliant; MAC Lipglass in Viva Glam V and C-Thru; and Clinique Color Surge Impossibly Glossy in Beach Bunny (looks great over the stain).

Oo..I'm a redhead and I find that it is hard to find makeup that actually looks good on us and blends in. I use Maybelline's mousse foundation. I think I use sandy beige 2. I like to use dark brown and light brown eyeshadow because I have blue eyes. But just make sure your foundation matches the rest of your body. There is nothing worse than an orange face and white neck!

I am a red head with a cool skin tone, I have green eyes. I use pale foundation (it matches my skin tone, it's the maybeline mousse) and translucent powder. For my eyes I prefer greys and blues, sometimes I use plum or purple eyeshadow as well. I use brown very occasionally, but it makes me look tired. For lipsticks I love the dark plummy tones, but a lip gloss in a plum colour can also look nice for a day time look as it is not so vampy.

My cousin is a redhead and browns, bronzes, greens & purples look really good on her (eyes). Also greys come to think of it. It also would depend on your skin tone. I think black would be too harsh for the eye area. Maybe warm neutral colors for the lips and cheeks.

I'm not a red head, but Almay offers a line of makeup tailored to your skin, hair and eye color. You can find it at Target or Wal-Mart.
