i have been on the patch for a year now and i just took it off today to start my week off. So like tomorrow or the next day i should start my period..But my serious boyfriend..(who has been tested for aids and hiv so hes clean) and i had sex like an hr ago and i wanted to know if i should take the day after pill. since i wasnt on the patch??
please help

I do not know any thing about this patch what so ever but I would take it if you don't want to be pregnant just to be on the safe side it could not hurt anything.

If you've been on the patch on the days you're supposed to be wearing it (didn't miss any days or anything for the past month), you're protected during the week you're supposed to be off of it. With the patch and the pills, there is a week off so you can have a period, and you are still protected through all of those days.

if you are extremely fertile , yes I would never trust I'm on the pill and I 'm allways cautious about sex.
