George from Rainbow. I figure he probably gets jealous at the sheer volume of fan mail that uppity little whatnot Zippy gets. George needs love too.

The phrasing of the question is more interesting ' if you could', which I think is the crux of the question - as a 'normal' person, who likes and appreciates certain actors, musicans, artists etc - how cripplingly embarrassing would it be to write a piece of fan mail full stop? After the age of 13 would you actually consider writing to a person, purely because they are famous, to tell them how brilliantly gifted in a certain area they are?
- if I could get over that, then it would be Steve Buscemi, for his writing and directing (not just his acting)

Writing a renowned guy or woman a fan letter ois like leaving one a remark on myspace... they probally by no ability examine it.. they have those that examine the fan mail for them and deliver out "autographed" photos and fan club information in reaction.. so dont undertaking approximately sounding trustworthy.. they're probally no longer gonna examine it besides.

Dudley Sutton is the man you're thinking of from Lovejoy; an absolute stalwart of the CFF during my childhood if not yours (though I doubt it).

Keanu Reeves, he has a special place in my heart, I would marry him if such a thing were possible.
My next would be fantasy writers J,K Rowling ( love her stuff but she probably gets a lot ) and writers Tad Williams ( Very good writer love his stuff ) and Terry Goodkind ( very good writer, interested in his Libertarian philosophy based on Ayn Rand )

Jim Lehrer.
NewsHour with Jim Lehrer on PBS. Good newsman, but I think he misses Robert MacNeil.
