We are bogged down in the never ending war with the largest deficits ever recorded and borders that have allowed what amounts to a foreign army to enter and occupy or country.

Does it really matter who gets elected?

Is anyone really going to fix these problems?

Your screen name is hated, but I'm not sure why. I've seen some really good questions from you, including this one. Does it matter? Who knows. I haven't seen anyone from any party who really impresses me as someone who would confront and solve these problems. I agree with the guy who said don't give up your fire arms!

It doesn't really matter who gets elected --- as long as someone is ELECTED and not appointed.
No one , elected or not , is going to fix ALL these problems.
What REALLY matters is that we have the FREEDOM to ask questions like yours without worrying about repercussions and that every question we ask does ultimately have an effect on the "Grand Scheme Of Things"
We may feel insignificant and powerless but we ALL contribute !

It seems unlikely. America is in an era where we are so successful an empire that we become victims of our own excesses. In most previous cases, like Rome, eventually the empire became negligent and allowed itself to be sacked.

Things like celebrity worship, obsession with sex, relative ignorance about the outside world, etc etc, all point to Americans becoming too inert to save our country until something calamitous happens.

Probably not, so we should have fun with this election. Let's all go with write-in candidates. Who knows? Maybe president number 44 will be Jared from the Subway ads!

YES IT MATTERS TO THOSE WHO WANT TO RUN THE AFFAIRS OF THE WORLD.

IF YOU & ME HAVE THIS "DOES IT REALLY MATTER" ATTITUDE, THEY HAVE AN UPPER HAND.

IF YOU WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE, GO OUT THERE & TRY, MAYBE YOU'D SUCCEED IN LOWERING THE DEFICIT OR SEALING THE BORDER OR STOPPING THE OCCUPATION.

TRY.

Absolutely Not

Government has nothing to do with the average citizens of America.

No, it doesn't really matter. But we do need to stand up and keep our firearms if we need to form a militia.

the only hope is for enough people to speak out and realize what is going on ...and absolutely REFUSE to give up their firearms no matter what.

...YES!

...it matters, who you vote for and speaking UP!

...this country has been down deeper than this puny little rut and we've ALWAYS overcome adversity.
