Where have you been?
Anyway, yes there is a concept and that's all there is. The theory is that we can only continue to move forward in time. We can accelerate this movement and we can slow it down by varying our velocity relative to the object we wish to experience faster or slower. But experience of time is constant to all observers. The variation occurs when comparing observers to each other. It gets pretty complicated when you get into the speed of light being the same to all observers as well, but it's difficult to explain without a couple of pictures. Anyway you asked about time travel, not speed of light.
My theory is that spacetime is the 4th dimension to our measurement of reality:
point: 0d
line: 1d
plane: 2d
universe: 3d
timeline: 4d
The reason I say this is because As the universe moves along the time line, it's like watching frames of a movie. We have no control over the time of our over-all universe, just as the characters in a cartoon have no control over the fast forward button on the vcr which is beneath the TV screen they are on.

Every one is traveling through time, every day. It is called living. We are constantly moving forward in time. We are also able to view pass time frames through the use of video recordings. As for physically traveling back in time, the chances of creating a anomaly, or paradox, are astronomically high. Just to take in a breath, you could breath in a Germ, bacterium, or virus that was otherwise may have been breathed in by another person, who would have died from it. That person doesn't die and whole generations of people are created, influencing the lives of others. Consider the millions of germs, bacteri, and viruses we breath in every day, that we may or may not react to.
You go back and kill Hitler, only to see him replaced with someone far worse and much less insane. He was not alone in his views, but just the most visible. There is nothing that you cannot do that will not make changes in your past. Further, if you travel forward, in essence you are standing very still as time passes around you. To you, you've moved forward in time in an instance, but to the world, you're a statue.

There's a concept, but that's all. Time is not a natural feature of the universe. There is no Cosmic Master Clock by which all other clocks should be set. Time is nothing more than a concept unconsciously invented by our species to separate events. Do a little research about absolute time in the context of Einstein's relativity.

Every time you take a drive in your car you are causing a dilation of physical time. Of course, it is only relative to you and your car, but it does exist. Were you to travel to the speed of light, time would no longer exist in any manner. It is required that 3 dimensional mass be in existence, moving at a speed of less than that of "c" in order for "time" to exist.
Check out http://360.yahoo.com/noddarc "The Problem and Repair of Relativity". Mankind cannot escape the existence he has been created out of. Everything in our universe is composed of physical time. Take a look at E = mc2, and m = E/c2 and you will notice that the c2 value is the only constant, and is the basis of both mass and energy.

No. Time travel only exists in some one's imagination. The past does not exist. The future does not exist. Time is a yardstick that man created to relate events to each other.

Yes, there's a number of concepts of time travel, but there is no evidence that it is possible.

Yep
Built a time machine myself.
All you need is a large cardboard box, Sellotape, paper, pen and someone to help you.
Method
1: Get in the cardboard box. (This is all you have to do - your friend does the rest)
2: Close lid of box
3: Sellotape lid down.
4: Write on piece of paper, "Please wake occupant up at 10am 8th August 2029.
5: Sellotape note to box.
6: Walk away.

Time travel is real my friend, in fact I'll prove it. I went back in time and told you to type this very question, but you probally don't remember because I hypnotized you. Don't get angry, I saved you points, because before I went back, you asked a really stupid question, something about waffles, anyway I went back in time and told you to ask this question instead. That's right, I changed history. Doesn't that just blow your freakin' mind?

afraid not my friend as there as no such thing as time, time is a man made concept.we only have the now.it is very important to understand this as a lot of people either live in the past or worry about the future but they dont exist.
