I don't feed Iams or Eukenuba because they do extremely cruel tests on animals..
Until you are the consumer (buyer) there isn't much you can do but spread the word as you are..You can write letters to the editors, but you have to have each fact very straight... You can write an article for your school paper, and when given a choice, make your homework reports focused on this cause.

so you have other people dictate your life? does it, by any chance, mean that somebody goes and buys the soap and washes YOUR clothes in it? cooks the food that you eat? goes and buys buys the toothpaste and soap YOU wash in? so stop this awful "dictate", this control: YOU do the shopping and the chores. as easy as that . in your age you are perfectly capable of doing it, instead of just nagging. maybe you can even pay the difference with your money, if the not-tested product happens to be more expensive. and not only you help the animals, but you will not be dictated any more!
i did the same whenever i was not happy with some products that we had at home - like not environent friendly, or so. i simply went and bought what i liked before the bottle was finished, so that others wouldnt buy something that i didnt like..
dont tell me you are forced to wash in animal tested soap - your mom says you must wash with this soap, you cant wash with any other soap? you must not go and buy a packet of soap powder?. LOL that would indeed be a dictate...

This issue has been around a long time. It is wonderful you have a passionate nature and love animals. However, there is something else that has been around a long time as a concept it is worth checking if you want to walk your talk. PUT YOUR $ WHERE YOUR MOUTH IS!!!! Not your parent's $. So far your belief has cost you nothing except emotion, why expect others to do what you are unwilling to do yourself? My son has a job that he has had since he was 14, this is the age you can get an official work permit. Before that he did certain tasks faithfully and recieved an allowance weekly. Also , a woman down the street needs help with cleanig sometimes and he does things for her. This is so he can do what he wants with his $ within reason. He even has his own checking and savings account, after his personal finance class in school. He is really concerned over the fact that a child dies of starvation every time you take a breath approximately. That too is an old issue but I enjoyed his educating me,after he paid the price through a 48 hour famine awareness fast. So ...make a plan and make a difference.LET IT BEGIN WITH YOU. You are the one whose actions you can control. Unless you just want to criticize your folks who are raising you pretty well for you to care about this.

I agree with you although at this stage of the game you really dont have many options other than to boycott the soap your parents give you ...dont know how well that will go over at school though. Try some online websites to find out what things you CAN do for now until you are able to get this stuff on your own or convince your parents. You can do easy stuff like recycling and even collecting your neighbors recyclables if your neighborhood doesnt already have a program in place...maybe try a google search for ways to be more environmentally concience....also take a look at certified humane and handled meat...maybe you could convince your parents on buying that???

I support testing on animals to some degree. I think that it should be regulated though. I believe the testing should be done in the presence of a member of an animals rights organization.
The same thing is done in filming of movies with animals. The American Humane Association oversees the treatment of animals in film.

Yeah, calm down, and then go out and do the family shopping and washing so you don't have to wear clothes washed by animals!

SO YOUNG AND SO WISE! I have learned that I cannot force my ideals onto other people but I can educate others ...How about writting a paper on animal cruelty and circulating them around your school..give them to your friends, put them in mailboxes..educate your community..GET YOUR MESSAGE ACCROSS, IT IS A GOOD ONE !

i hate the cruelty that is put on defenseless animals. i don't understand the people that do that to them. join the a.s.p.c.a. on the net, it is free and you can send emails to your state reps. on different animal abuse issues. they keep you informed on what bills are going to be voted on regarding animal rights. that is the best way to fight back. we just got the bill passed to stop slaughtering horse for the food industry overseas. thank God they finally got that one through. check them out. good luck.
