Hate was an evolutionarily developed emotion. Its purpose, in primal times, was to motivate a human to abhor something, or someone, that was perceived as undesirable. For example, say a close ally deceives or betrays you in some profound way. It is often natural to feel hatred for that person. That is your emotions telling you that person is no good for you anymore. So in this case, we see a logical reason for the existence of hate. Of course, the complexity of humanity means that hate can originate in many different situations for many peculiar reasons, many that are not beneficial. In modern times hate is very often negative and unwise.
