Whatever is important for us.. we never forget...say our telepone no... bank a/c. no... wife's mobile no....etc. We always forget the things we think are not important, things which we consider as 'not that important' or things about which we feel 'can be found out later' by calling some one or on net. Whatever our mind does is clearly our choice and not by chance. If you want not to forget things... just repeat it once in your mind.. and your body mechanism will make a reminder of it. I have tried this and followed this.

Hmmm...my short term memory is getting worse lately. I have to write everything down or I forget. I thought it was involuntary but maybe I am choosing to dispose of information that's of little consequence to me. We're so bombarded with information, sensory input constantly that we can't store it all (plus I think my brain ran out of disk space in university ha ha)...I can remember song lyrics from the 80's but can't remember a dentist's appointment or what I did yesterday...selective memory I guess. I remember the fun stuff!

I think i choose to forget certain things because it's easier, it's hard to keep track of things when there are 20 other things on your mind.

not intentional forget things but it happens when I'm thinking of something else. Especially when I'm busy.
