Marijuana is not actually physically addictive, although it can be psychologically addictive. You won't have any physical withdrawal symptoms from it, but you will have to find other things to occupy your time besides smoking pot or thinking about lighting up a joint.

It wasn't for me. I was getting super paranoid every time I smoked and I went from smoking every day to not at all. I don't remember consciously giving up, I just didn't do it anymore. I was really concerned because I thought I was losing my mind and memory. You can pretty much feel yourself being more onto it a week or so after stopping.

Marijuana doesn't cause physical dependence. There will be no withdrawal symptoms like there would be with alcohol, nicotine, or many other drugs. You might find yourself craving it, but it's a mental thing, not a physical one. Depending on how much you're used to using it, you might not experience that either. You'll just need some willpower.

It must be hard. Everyone that I know who smokes it can not quit, evenif it means loosing their job, they always try to get around it and always fail the drug test and get fired.

Even people who are on parole and have to drug test will risk being violated and sent back to prison rather than quit.

So the answer to your question is yes it is hard

No, Marijuana is not Physically addictive like most other drugs, like opiates and methamphetamines.

Marijuana is a medicine that humans have a special receptor in their brains specifically for THC intake and have been smoking for thousands of years.

Latest study of Marijuana by FDA suggests that THC stored in your body seek old, dead cells and detroy them before they become malignant and cancerous.

Marijauana.....may even be a cure for cancer. It is the mircale medicine that the drug companies spend millions of dollars a year to special interests in washington to keep it illegal. 12 states so far have defied the federal law and have legalized marijuana.

Quitting pot is only difficult if the addict himself/herself doesn't want to quit.

Quit if you want to.....if you don't want to quit...ok, keep on being stoned.

Although quitting is still best.
