I think you all have valid points here. But i think the only conclusion that youve all gone down to is that terrorism is simply a label and only means something to the country willing to exploit its use.

A terrorist is an individual...who have no respect for humanity and kills innocent men and women for his insane ideas. They hide behind innocent civilians so that they cannot be caught. They gain their support from civilians who suffer due to reciprocatory actions taken by the victims of terrorism. A terrorist is not part of an army. So don't confuse it with US and Israeli actions in the past few years. What they have done is not terrorism....its crime against humanity...which by the way is the result of......terrorism.
Those who carry out acts of terrorism under the name of freedom fighters are just as hypocrite as anyone can be. Freedom can never be won by terrorist attacks...it will strengthen the occupiers resolve to stay there. Only the people who peacefully demand freedom are the real freedom fighters...e.g Gandhi. Terrorists are nothing but people who are afraid of peace.

A terrorist is someone who tries to induce and influence political decisions, by striking at civillian populations and causing extreme fear among them.
To be extra clear: the terrorist's chosen method of getting their way politically is by deliberately -- not accidentally or incidentally -- causing innocent civillians to be terrified.
As satisfying as some may find it to poke fun at Bush, he does not fit the the definition of terrorist.
Yes, people do wield words as weapons, and "terrorist" may very well be one of those words. That is why it is important to know this word's actual meaning.
