A social worker presented a reputable mother with a notice of Apprehension that stated her child is at risk of emotional injury, sexual abuse and/or cruel and unusual treatement or punishment.

The Apprehension notice was due to an unfounded allegation of sexual assult and/or sexual abuse of a minor.

A 15 year old girl was trying to get pregnant because her best friend was pregnant, who is also a young 14 year old. The mother in question didnt want the child to be pregnant so she acted promptly, she gave advice to the child and was received with deception. The teen was sleeping around dispite the good advice, and refused birth control. Seeing this was a dead end the mother pretended to agree with the teen's choice and provided preventative measures in the form of placebo effect by providing counterfeit male generative fluid (semen) in the form of egg white.

The child is fine, happy and not pregnant, but the social worker still wants to be involved. You be the judge.

Let me get this straight - the girl thought she was going to get pregnant from the placebo of egg whites?

This sounds like a different kind of "it's wrong to spank your child" kind of question. The girl is only 15, still under her mother's house, and isn't doing what she was told. The mother is doing what she thinks is best for the child, and it sounds like it's working. How a social worker got involved, I have no idea. But it sounds like the social worker is just messing things up even more.

I would not think taking the kid is needed. However, I would advise 120 hours of family counseling with a shrink. The shrink would also have to sign a clean bill of health before they could stop seeing the shrink.

My mom was a foster care hero. Most of the kids we got had no problems. The problem was the parents being idiots like the ones above. Granted not all of them can be helped. The parent above was trying to do something to help a situation. A very poor choice, but a choice in supposed benifit of the child. This means if the parent was taught how to be a parent, things would likely work out. I am an Advicate of therapy. Counselors are smart people and know what to do.

The social worker is wrong... think of it this way: If the girl had a child of her own she would try and seek out a father for her child and as soon as she does this she will expose the child abuse... what the social worker should do is look ahead and time and see if what the mother did was wrong or good.

The mother is wrong. A mother is supposed to help her daughter and not try to do wrong. This mother deserves to know that and is due some kind of punishment or fine. What, I can't say, but she is not a good mother when she doesn't do right for her children and she certainly hasn't in this case.

I think the social worker is out of line. If the mother talked to her and help her out is there life not anybody elses. people put there noses where they don't belong and the social worker is one of them. I still don't think shes ready but is her life and not my life if shes happy let her go

I do not understand this. you mean the mother pretended to artificially inseminte he daughter. If so, the social worker needs to stay involved. there is something wrong going on and it seems to me that boundaries have been crossed by that mother and that her judgment is poor.

This is too weird, first, the mom doesn't want her pregnant, then later agrees to it and has her filled up with a placebo of a pregnancy?? This is crazy, what happens when there is no baby and she want to have one after wards and doesn't trust mom? she gets hold of a man with some kind of disease and gets knocked up, hello Mc Fly???

Wow...what a provocative story! I will not make judgment, I really don't know both sides of the story. Just sorry to hear about it.
