It kind of stupid, in my own opinion - but I'm at a lost here. I ended up liking him more, well, romantically, when I became friends with him and after. The problem was the only reason on why I ended up being friends with him is that my best friend wanted me to introduce her to him, and she still expects me to try to get them together. Is this selfish to not do anything or actually introduce them also?

if it were me, i wouldn't try to get together with him. your best friedn should be more important to you than this guy, and it might destroy her trust with you if you were to attempt to have a relationship with him. your friend will always be there for you, and you don't have that guarantee he'll do the same. now, if you did nothing to provoke him to like you (ie: no flirting or hinting that you like him) and he falls for you above her anyway, that might be another story. but for now, just be respectful to your friend and keep your distance from him. it would avoid a lot of drama...
