Hotmail has not been allowing me in for 2 days now. It gives me this answer : The Microsoft passport Network is unavailable from this site: this site may be experiencing a problem. This site may not be a member of the passport network. You can sign up at other sites on the passport network or try again later at this site.
Is there another place for me to sign in?

Never had that kind of problem with my Firefox.
If it is really site-wide problem as it is claimed to be then everyone would be screaming and MS would've fixed it already.
Get another browser, even try Linux Live CDs as guest operating systems to isolate the root of the problem.

Google it or enter it from a yahoo search. I was in my hotmail account today with no problem and yesterday as well. Hotmail has always been notorious for going away for days on end.

try to log in through MSN messenger . Also check your browser is IE.
or open www.msn.com and try to log in Hotmail from that web page .
