both work though my son has abetter paid job I know he,s doing this to help secure a future for her so when she around 25 she would be able to have a large deposit to buy her own home. his girlfriend is annoyed at this and its causing a lot of arguing between them. His girlfriend lives with me at the moment and though i love her I can see her ruining her relationship with my son, by making sarcastic comments to him. What should I say to her without hurting her feelings and save her from destroying her relationship?

Nothing. At this point you really can't insert yourself into their relationship without causing one or both of them to hate you. These are two adult individuals and you have to respect them enough to trust them to make good decisions. If your son's girlfriend can't understand what hes doing, shes probably not worth fighting for anyway.

i wouldnt involve yourself in a conversation with his girlfriend - if you're going to talk to someone I think it should be your son. Maybe encourage him to talk to his girlfriend about his reasons for buying the house and that he needs to get her to see this from his point of view. Failing that, why not ask your son if he would like you to chat to his girlfriend and try get her to see sense - he may appreciate this - but I wouldnt go behind his back.

ok commend your children in purchasing a home to get out of your hair; most parents cant get rid of their kids nowadays. as for his girlfriend; tell her shut her pie hole or move out. honestly she obviously does not have any respect for your son or to you at all. you can not say something and not to expect feelings getting hurt; she needs to grow up. at least your children are adults can she say she is an adult?

It sounds like jealousy. Your son's girlfriend on some level sounds envious. If your son cant explain to her why its important to HIM to help out HIS sister, then to hell with the selfish b***h.

Just my two cents.
