Who does the singer of Third Day sound like?

I love the christian band Third Day. I've only been listening to them for a couple of months. The lead singer sounds similar to someone from another band but I can't figure out who.

I am HUGE fan of Third Day and I always felt like he sounded like Darius Rucker from Hootie and the Blowfish. Especially in their earlier CDs, he does and I also think that he sounds a little like the lead singer from The Why Store. Hope this helps.
