Use a colourless or light and almost clear cooking oil like peanut or soya bean. WD-40 also can. Test on small area to test if colour runs - should not run. After applying the oil, rub to loosen the sticky goo and use a clean white clot to remove away as much as possible. Wash away with clothes or dish washing detergent, and water, to remove the oil.
Basically the principle is to loosen the sticky material first, next remove the stickly goo and finally wash away all the oil and separated glue.
Do not use thinner and other solvents.

you can buy a product at walmart, target, etc. called wipe off? it removes the residue left from bumper stickers, it's in the auto product aisle. or try some olive oil, veggie oil, mineral oil. the oil can be removed with a couple drops of dish soap. peanut butter takes gum out of your hair and off other things also, try that. the oil in it breaks it loose and the sugar in it breaks it down.

i install flooring and every once in a while get tile or carpet glue on my clothes, what i use to get it off is a rag dampened w/ mineral spirits. let sit on spot for a couple of seconds and wipe off, then rewash.for really thick or heavy spots i have used acetone.

Try scrubbing it with a small brush, or try removing it with some kind of heat. I'm not sure, maybe it will just eventually come off

If you can find it, I use (goop off) or (goo off) to take sticky things off of merchandise at my work.
