I wonder what will happen if you stick a finger to a cop ? Or yelling profanity to him.

Well...it's a calculated risk. If you pick the wrong cop to exercise your Constitutionally guaranteed Freedom of Speech with, you might get your skull dented. Flying a one fingered salute is not illegal in my state, not anymore. If you yell profanity you could get arrested for...oh let's say... creating a disturbance or public lewdness. It's generally just a bad idea to try it, because you then practically beg the nice officer to come and crawl up you backside with a microscope to find something to bust you on. Just curse under your breath and then talk s*** on Yahoo Answers. Your much less likely to get the **** kicked out of you doing it that way. I don't approve of an officer slapping anyone around for stuff like this, and the cops I supervise know better. But...there are those out there who don't see things that way.

Not in Cali. There's no law that I know of against giving a cop the finger. Now sticking a finger in a cop? Thats another story.

Why would you want to stick a finger to a cop? Remember, it's best to respect the law because they certainly can make things rough for you. You can't beat the law as they say. Take your frustrations out by taking a jog or something.

Depends on where you live and what kind of cop he or she is. If your dealing with a crooked cop then you will probably be charged with something. Look at what Mel Gibson said to the cops and he was charged with a bunch of stuff but I don't think he was charged for cursing at them.

No, I have done it. He attempted to give me a public misconduct ticket. However he mad the mistake in his report that the lady and her kid that lived below my apartment came outside to see me yelling at him. The problem was the person that live below me was a gay single man. and the other apartment was vacant. Yes some times life is sweet. By the way nothing happened to the macomb county sheriff deputy for lying on his report. By the way do not do it while driving.

he might try to kick ur ***....theres a vid of a guy doing that andthe cop hits him with his nightstick a couple times...but leagally u can flip em off just like anyone else...but as cops go, ur likely to get arrested for some bogus charge...they gotta maintain that power trip ego thing...dont yell profanity it could be taken as threatening, but while calmly telling an officer to go f*ck himself isnt illegal, u can still get arrested for something else

The cop with likely get angry, and will likely use any legal option they have to make your life more miserable. Cops can get away with a lot, legally, so its generally better not to annoy them.

Of course, I believe thats a misdemeanor in most states. Why would you EVER do something like that to cops? In NYC, if you ever do something like that to a cop, they will f--- with you to no end and then let you go before your public attorney gets there.
