They should talk to their doctor. It really depends on what birth control they are using.

Yes you can. Using a progesterone only birth control pill like Micronor will not effect the quantity or the quality of breast milk

no... i'm taking birth control and on the information package it has on it, it says not to take if there's a possibility that you could be pregnant or if you're breastfeeding. if you still aren't sure about it, though, or want more information on it, tell her to talk to her doctor. her doctor can give her the best advice on it... they know a lot more than regular fokk like me do! :)

just take progestin only pill if you are breastfeeding. others use depo provera. i think there maybe a link to the estrogen and the quantity of the breastmilk. so combined pill is not recommended. or just non hormonal method for contraceptive. we used condoms while i'm still breastfeeding then when i stopped, i take combined pill.

the child takes in the hormones too..
