USA is a melting pot, you criticize us and you're criticizing the world. our govt, that's a different story, but USA is definately a melting pot where you'll see a heck of alot of different things, unlike some countries where you are seeing one or a few cultures and aren't allowed to voice your opinion. The only problem with this melting pot I think is a lack of want to unite, we all kind of have this laisse faire attitude just to leave it up to our govt. to @*#$ up, as long as we get our money and our other luxuries we dont care whats happening.

Yup! It's a sad state of affairs! Personal responsibility and self-reliance has given way to total and utter dependence on government to come save the day! And we should elect MORE politicians that want to make it even worse?

Hey, am not really againts Americans in general. Heck, I have a lot of american friends and collegues; and most of them are pretty cool.

I guess the center of criticism around the world is really the policies that the current American government has taken in the past 5-6 years.

I don't think that the events of 9/11 were the root cause of it, but it was part of the chain events that led to the current state and current opinion of people around the world about America.

Some people say that America has meddled with the affairs of other countries, particularly Iraq and now Iran. Other's say that America is trying to impose it's polical will in other parts of the world. Other's have speculated that America has sown this advent of global terrorism upon the world because of the stance that it has taken.

I think that America has been misunderstood. Misunderstood for it's aggresiveness to fight off terrorism as a whole. Misunderstood for trying to be a sower of democracy where ever there isn't. Misunderstood for her stubborness not to admit defeat or failure.

America is and will always be a proud nation. I think that the only thing that needs to be done for it is to have a change of heart. A change in political/foreign policies. A change in mindset for it's people to be united eventhough they come from different cultural backgrounds. An acceptance of the fact that the fight against global terrorism is not their own, and they don't have the obligation to plant seeds of democracy across the world.

The united states is a very pompous, egotistical country.
Americans are fat.
Gluttonous.
Arrogant
Ignorant
Self Centered
Rude
Greedy.

This is coming from a proud American, but look around us. How many people do you see stuffing their fat faces in a fast food joint?

Did you know that within the next four years, petite clothes are going to become obsolete, due to the more profitable larger clothing group?

Disgusting Americans. We should really clean our act up.
