dun try too hard. i've been in ur position before. i envied my bestfren alot. but over time i told myself not to get too bothered by it. if the guys only like u for ur features n not for ur personality, just how long can u two last as a couple??
it's not just a pretty face to make a guy like u. attitude counts too.

I have a feeling your best friend, whether she means to or not, is turning on personality plus when you are with guys. Like a magnet, she is drawing the guys while you are wondering why they go for her and not you. It sounds like you feel neglected and sad when a guy you might like to attract goes for her instead. There are some girls and guys that have a certain way about them and they are always going to have their pick. Still, if she gets serious with a guy, she will at least temporarily be out of the running and you will find yourself being the one guys are attracted to. If you meet someone nice and he gets to know the real you-be natural, be yourself, don't try too hard and it is more likely a guy will be attracted to you. Don't act too eager or do anything out of character to get his attention. Guys like girls that are fun-loving, not fickle, easy to talk to, and that make them feel good about themselves. If you are shy, get HIM talking. He will feel flattered that someone cares enough to listen. Ask questions like what kind of music he likes or if he's into sports ask if you can watch him play. Don't pretend to like things he likes just to attract him. Have a mind of your own and share your true feelings with him. You might even make a friend who will turn into a boyfriend when he finds out how cool you really are!

Talk more sense then your friend and if your friend dress a certain way match her but more better then what she do. More legs always help me. But if you ugly then really you should not be shy.

If you try too hard you attract the wrong type of person. Be yourself. Let people like you for you... not for something or somebody you are not. Then you don't have to live a lie.

Dress up, Laugh at his stupid jokes, flirt, pretend to like what he likes, and finally TALK TO HIM.
and for everyone that is saying JUST BE YOURSELF, that is not helping, she is asking for advice to be different, being yourself is not working, don't try to change yourself, but simply make yourself better...you already know you problem is being shy...that is all...
