It all depends on the context that the question is in.
Marriage or Parenthood:
I don't think 22 is young. In most countries 18 is the legal age for marriage - the question then is about maturity. As long as you can manage a life with a spouse and kids, then you ain't too young.
Politics:
It all depends on how much experience you've already had leading. In some countries, they have youth leadership programs sponsored by the government.
Professional Sports:
Lebron James - straight from High School was still young. Then again he was not even 20 yet. 22 would just be about right.
For Death:
Definitely too young by my standards. You've only started living a a life, so it would be ashame to end it here. You're still too young to die until you're over 50.

It better be. I'm less then 2 months away from turning 22 and I hope its still young. Sad thing is I'm already starting to feel old....

I'm almost 44 so you are literally half my age.
Age is a matter of perspective, and for me, 22 is very young.

Youth is not related to age, but your heart, your attitude.
One can be 16 and not be young, if his/her life does not have sense at all.
Society considers young someone under 40.

Yes it's very young. Considering you don't have health problems or won't die unexpectedly you will be alive for at least 60 more years.
