Recently had front brakes done by a friend (new pads and rotors). Now, when I accelerate and turn -- it doesn't seem to happen if I'm driving along and take a "normal" turn -- I hear a "click click click" fairly loudly from the front wheel(s). Makin' me nervous.

Most probably CV joint(s). Check the rubber boots at the inside of the wheel.

Did you check the wheel nuts just to be sure they were tight? Maybe said friend forgot to torque them properly.

The noise has nothing to do with the brake job. Your drive shaft(s)are wearing out. You will have to replace one or maybe both.

That sounds like a CV joint, and your friend probably isn't to blame for it.
