yes... I think so.... the world defines beauty as beautiful and really skinny.... personally I don't find that pretty.... I'm very athletic and I think I'm average... I mean I play soccer so I don't have the "stick thin" legs and I think that the models that do have them don't look very pretty most of the time... just my opinion

Models are no longer slim, they are gaunt, and that is not attractive. There was an interesting article in the paper about several fashion houses who have announced they will no longer hire models with a BMI (Body Mass Index) under 18. As the normal BMI range is from 18 to 24, this means their models will be slim, but won't look like refugees from a concentration camp. It will be interesting to see if this change in attitude spreads throughout the fashion industry or not. It can only be helpful because so many young girls today are literally starving themselves to look like fashion models and some Hollywood stars, and the results are not pretty. More frighteningly, they are not healthy, but it's hard to convince a young girl that it's more important to be healthy than to look like some skeletal cover girl.

Most women are actually larger than they were say 50 years ago.
Bigger waisted, larger butted. Models are only to display dresses the same as hanging them on the wall. I don't think they are too thin its only an art statement.
