Why Do men hate chick flicks?

Because they are sappy love stories that are made for women.

Because chick flicks are usually poorly written, predictable, and prove the hypothesis/theory, that women are crazy. They (As in Hollywood) then come up with the pseudo-sport-flick which is actually a chick-flick (Jerry Macguire, Tin Cup, etc.).
With that note, I will still watch "The Devil Wears Prada"

I don't. That's why they don't make pure romance movies. It's always romantic comedies, so guys will want to go too...
On the other hand, in action movies (a genre which girls don't particularly like), they cast good looking actors.

Because half the time us women start crying through them and they really don't want us to start crying or they will have to be all supportive and everything.

I don't know I find them boring sometimes but I would still watch it with my girl, that is if she watches my movies with me
